Stockholm-based dark metal band The Vice<\/strong> have released the music video for \u201cWaltz de Anima\u201d <\/strong>– the epic final track of their newly released 3-track EP \u201cThe Red Tape Sessions\u201d<\/strong>, which is available now via Noble Demon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

On the creation of the song, the band says: “In our opinion,Waltz de Anima is definitely our most epic track to date. The chorus was the first fragment that was written and it immediately felt like one of those \u2018big choruses\u2019 that we’ve wanted to write for a long time, but that just wouldn’t come to us. From the first demo we knew it was something special. It has a majestic, almost regal sound that we always kept in mind when writing the rest of the song. And with that strange, smoky, early 1900s jazz club vibe in the intro, as well as the interlude that evokes the parties of the bourgeoisie in huge ballrooms of centuries past – or a twisted night at the royal opera or ballet – I think we managed to capture that mood quite well throughout the song.<\/em>”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

From the very beginning, The Vice<\/strong> have gone their own way, driven by the desire to carve out their own place in the scene. And this dirty, wild-hearted metal\/rock\/pop fusion, with one foot firmly planted in the windy, frozen north and the other in the concrete of the streets, really sounds like nothing else. Dark, blackened metal, ferocious rock \u2018n\u2019 roll, punk and hardcore attitude, mixed with a heavy dose of the cultural giants of the 90s like Guns & Roses, Pantera, Prince, grunge, Oasis, Neometal, Fight Club, The Matrix<\/strong> and Terminator 2<\/strong>, to name but a few. All of this – and everything in between – comes pretty close to the essence of The Vice<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
