\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Director Zora Rux’s feature film debut, starring Elisa Pl\u00fcss and Thomas Fr\u00e4nzel, premiered on September 25, 2021 at the Zurich Film Festival and screened in the feature film competition of the 2022 Max Oph\u00fcls Prize Film Festival. The film was released in Germany on December 1, 2022 on the UCM.ONE label Darling Berlin.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]\u201cSecond Thoughts\u201d has been available on MUBI since February 1, 2025 as part of the Valentine’s Day special.[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”176490″ img_size=”full” css=””][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”176492″ img_size=”full” css=””][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]Summary<\/span><\/p>\n

Marie (Elisa Pl\u00fcss) is caught off guard by her boyfriend Julian (Thomas Fr\u00e4nzel), who proposes to her in front of his family at his brother’s wedding. Marie has no idea how to react. She escapes to the countryside to think about herself, her life and her relationship. Alone?<\/p>\n

At her mother’s vacation home, things soon become increasingly cramped and absurd: Marie’s thoughts suddenly take shape, her thought people become more and more numerous and intrusive. They force possible baby names on her, an ex-boyfriend climbs down from trees and a \u201clyrical ego\u201d in a sari announces Marie’s inner world in verses.
