[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The 13-year-old actress Lisa Moell<\/strong> has won the German Children’s Media Prize “White Elephant<\/strong>” for her role in “Queen of Niendorf<\/strong>” (Darling Berlin). The award as best young actress was presented to her at the Filmfest Munich<\/strong>. “Their way of playing is so honest, sincere and undeniable that they hope the film will not end,”<\/em> said the jury. In the category “Best Feature Film” were nominated in addition to “Queen of Niendorf” (German: “K\u00f6nigin von Niendorf<\/strong>“) by Joya Thome<\/strong> among others “Jim Knopf<\/strong>” and “The Little Witch<\/strong>“.<\/p>\n

“Queen of Niendorf” has been running in German cinemas since February 15, 2018 and will be released on DVD and VOD on July 27th. The film will be also released in French cinemas in the end of August 2018.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”15334″ img_size=”full”][vc_column_text]Lisa Moell<\/strong> plays the 10-year-old Lea in “Queen of Niendorf<\/strong>” (German: “K\u00f6nigin von Niendorf<\/strong>“) by Joya Thome<\/strong>. The film begins at the time when the summer holidays in Brandenburg have just begun. Lea does not go to camp this year as usual with her friends. In general, she finds the other girls in her school increasingly stranger. And so Lea turns mostly alone on her bike through the village and visits the musician and dropout Mark (Mex panties), who lives on a wild farm. One day, on one of her raids, Lea observes five boys hauling a large oil drum over the fence of the paint factory and racing away with their loot on a bicycle trailer.<\/p>\n

Lea’s curiosity is aroused. At the next opportunity she follows the boys and discovers that they have built a raft on a small lake. But the raft is the property of the gang, and girls are not allowed under any circumstances. Lea wants to be included in the gang and makes a dare.
