The German Cinemaxx<\/strong> chain is celebrating \u201cSharkweek<\/strong>\u201d in all its cinemas at the end of May with the “Hai-Lights<\/strong>” (“Hai” is the German word for “shark”) <\/em>\u00a0of cinema history. In addition to \u201cJaws<\/strong>\u201d, \u201cMEG<\/strong>\u201d and two children’s cartoons, \u201cSharknado\u201d<\/strong> in the new 4K 10th Anniversary version, distributed by UCM.ONE<\/strong><\/span>, is on the program in all 27 cinemas of the group on Friday, 31 May.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]First aired in 2013, the film was produced by production house The Asylum<\/strong> and has since gained a wide fan base. In \u201cSharknado<\/strong>\u201d, Tara Reid<\/strong>, Ian Ziering<\/strong> and John Heard<\/strong> face off against a tornado that picks up giant great white sharks and hammerheads and rains them down on Los Angeles. The film led to a franchise of popular B-movies with a total of six parts.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]A gigantic hurricane that has caught a school of sharks off the Californian coast and blown them up is heading for Los Angeles. Fin (Ian Ziering<\/strong>), the owner of a surf bar on Long Beach, watches in horror as the storm and an almost incessant rain of gigantic sharks destroy his lifelong dream. Together with his best friend Baz (Jaason Simmons<\/strong>), his girlfriend (Cassie Scerbo<\/strong>) and the old drunk George (John Heard<\/strong>), he sets out armed with chainsaws and shotguns to protect his ex-wife April (Tara Reid<\/strong>) and his two children from these flying eating machines.<\/p>\n
