UCM.ONE<\/strong> <\/span>is taking over world sales for the tragicomedy “Kiss My Wounds<\/strong>” (German original title: “Wann kommst Du meine Wunden k\u00fcssen<\/strong>“) by director and author Hanna Doose<\/strong>. The corresponding contract negotiations between the production company Schiwago Film<\/strong> (Berlin) and UCM.ONE<\/strong><\/span> were concluded at the end of January 2024.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“Kiss My Wounds<\/strong>” is a tragic-comic film about shattered life dreams, painful love, loneliness and hidden longings, about techno, art, existential fears and getting older – and not least about the healing power of deep friendship. The film celebrated its world premiere at the Munich Film Festival 2022<\/strong>, where it was awarded the Audience Award<\/em><\/strong> against top-class competition from all over the world.<\/p>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Synopsis<\/span><\/p>\n

They were best friends when life-hungry director Maria (Bibiana Beglau<\/strong>), young actress Laura (Gina Henkel<\/strong>) and DJ Jan (Alexander Fehling<\/strong>) were shaking up Berlin’s artistic and nightlife scene. Now, after years of radio silence, the three meet again on a shared farm in the Black Forest, where Laura and Jan have retreated from their stagnant careers to pursue their dream of country life. Kathi, Maria’s sister, also lives here. Maria’s arrival brings carefully suppressed conflicts to the surface. Jan is Maria’s ex-boyfriend, the love of her life. Ten years ago, he cheated on Maria with Laura, after which the two became a couple.<\/p>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The reunion and Kathi’s fate cause the storm that rages through the lives of the three women to grow into an existential threat. The film is a co-production of Schiwago Film<\/strong> (Marcos Kantis<\/strong>, Martin Lehwald<\/strong>) & Domar Film<\/strong> (Dominik Utz<\/strong>, Martin Schwimmer<\/strong>) with SWR<\/strong> (Stefanie Gro\u00df<\/strong>), “Kiss My Wounds<\/strong>” was funded by MFG Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg<\/strong>, the German Federal Film Fund<\/strong> and the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media<\/strong> (BKM<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

Born in Cologne in 1979, Hanna Doose<\/strong> grew up in Schleswig- Holstein, completed a social year in Brazil after graduating from high school in 1998 and studied at the European Film College<\/strong> in Denmark from 1999 to 2000. In 2001 she began her directing studies at the German Film and Television Academy<\/strong> in Berlin (dffb<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

During her studies, Hanna Doose<\/strong> was a guest student at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts<\/strong> and the editing course at the dramatiska institutet film school<\/strong> in Stockholm. All of her short films have screened internationally at numerous festivals and received major awards. “Gut m\u00f6glich, dass sie fliegen kann<\/strong>” was nominated for the German Short Film Award<\/em><\/strong>, among others.<\/p>\n

Her graduation film at the dffb<\/strong> and first feature film “Staub auf meinen Herzen<\/strong>” with Susanne Lothar<\/strong>, Michael Kind<\/strong> and Stephanie Stremler<\/strong> in the leading roles was a triple winner at the 30th Munich Film Festival 2012<\/strong> with the “F\u00f6rderpreis Neues Deutsches Kino<\/strong>“<\/em> for “Best Director<\/strong>“<\/em>, “Best Production<\/strong>“<\/em> and “Tele5 Award Audience Award<\/strong>“<\/em>.<\/p>\n

This was followed by the “First Steps Award 2012<\/em><\/strong>“<\/em>, the “Prize for the Promotion of Young Artists<\/strong><\/em>” from the DEFA Foundation<\/strong> and the international premiere at the Busan International Film Festival in Korea<\/strong>. In 2013, “Staub auf unseren Herzen<\/strong>”\u00a0celebrated its nationwide theatrical release in Germany and had its television premiere on ARD.<\/p>\n

She shot episodes for the major documentary film projects “24h Berlin<\/strong>“, “24h Jerusalem<\/strong>” (German Television Award 2014 for “Best Multi-part Documentary<\/em>“) and “24h Europe<\/strong>” by Zero One Film<\/strong>, arte<\/strong>, rbb<\/strong> and BR<\/strong>. In 2018 she directed two episodes of “L\u00f6wenzahn<\/strong>” (ZDF<\/strong> \/ Studio TV<\/strong>). Based in Eichenau near Munich and Esslingen, they produce feature films, documentaries and commercials that have won numerous national and international awards.
