Synopsis:<\/h3>\n

Recently, more and more meteorites are hitting the earth and causing devastating damage. But this is only the prelude to a possible global catastrophe, which is caused by a huge meteorite field approaching the earth. Should this bombardment pass the atmosphere unscathed, it could mean the end of the Earth. The only way out seems to be a coordinated nuclear strike by all world powers to eliminate the threat from space. But contrary to the assessment of the military led by Colonel Singh (Eric Roberts<\/strong>), scientist Gwen Armstrong (Kate Watso<\/strong>n) is sceptical. Something seems to slow down the speed of the meteorites. But what is the reason for this? When she finds out the catastrophic cause, time is running out and the military is on its way to aim at the wrong target. About\u00a0Eric Roberts<\/span><\/h3>\n

Eric Roberts<\/strong> was born in 1956 in Biloxi (Mississippi) as the eldest child of Walter<\/strong> and Betty Roberts<\/strong> and grew up in Atlanta, where his parents ran an acting school for children for a while. He is the older brother of actresses Lisa Roberts Gillan<\/strong> (*1965) and “Pretty Woman<\/strong>” Julia Roberts<\/strong> (*1967). He already made his first stage experiences at the age of five. <\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]After the divorce of his parents in 1972 Roberts stayed with his father while his mother moved to Smyrna with his sisters. Thanks to the financial support of his father he was able to study at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. Later he continued his acting education at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″ css=”.vc_custom_1561290391124{border-right-width: -15px !important;}”][vc_single_image image=”44074″ img_size=”full”][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”44070″ img_size=”full”][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]In 1977 Roberts obtained his first bigger theater roles. In the same year he also appeared as Ted Bancroft in the television series “Another World<\/strong>“. He made his film debut in “King of the Gypsies<\/strong>” (1978) by Frank Pierson<\/strong>, for which was nominated for a Golden Globe<\/em> for the first time. In the following years, he mostly played criminals and outsiders, for example the psychopathic husband of the murdered Playmate in “Star 80<\/strong>” (1983), for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe<\/em> for the second time. The role of prison escapee Buck McGeehy in “Runaway Train<\/strong>” (1985) was to earn him his third Golden Globe<\/em> nomination as well as an Oscar<\/em> nomination for Best Supporting Actor. <\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Due to personal problems, his career subsequently took a turn for the worse and he was arrested several times, among other things because of his drug problems. As a result he mostly played one bad guy after the other in mediocre to bad movies. <\/span>After he had overcome his drug problems, he made a small comeback with supporting roles in “The Dark Knight<\/strong>” (2008), “The Expendables<\/strong>” (2010) and “Inherent Vice<\/strong>” (2014).
