[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]From Ridley Scott<\/strong>‘s Blade Runner<\/strong> (1982) to Denis Villeneuves<\/strong> sequel Blade Runner 2049<\/strong> (2017) – films about artificial intelligence and human-like androids have always been very popular and are currently very popular with many film and series fans thanks to top series like “Westworld<\/strong>“, “Better than us<\/strong>” (Netflix) or “Humans<\/strong>“![\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]UCM.ONE<\/strong><\/span> is now releasing on the film label “M-Square Pictures<\/strong>” the science fiction film “Cyber Bride<\/strong>” by Louisa Warren<\/strong>, which deals with the current topic of AI and the reproduction of humans on order.[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″ css=”.vc_custom_1561290391124{border-right-width: -15px !important;}”][vc_single_image image=”38661″ img_size=”full”][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”38663″ img_size=”full”][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

Synopsis:<\/h3>\n

After his wife tragically dies of a heart attack after an assault, Rick (Andrew Hollingworth<\/strong>) falls into self-pity and depression. When he realizes that his neighbour’s new girlfriend is a little bit strange and he asks him about it, he starts to get some hope again, because he finds out that she is a custom-made cyborg – an artificial human! A cyborg who is hardly recognizable as such, who is supposed to drive away the loneliness of single, frustrated men and otherwise “lives” undemandingly at their side. Rick decides to order a replica of his recently deceased wife – with fatal consequences…<\/span><\/p>\n

Cyborgs:<\/h3>\n

The term cyborg refers to a being that is a mix of living organism and machine. It usually refers to people whose bodies are permanently supplemented by artificial components, e.g. implants. The name is an acronym derived from the English \u201ecybernetic organism\u201c<\/em>.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Origin of the term: In 1960, a space symposium was held in the USA, where Manfred E. Clynes<\/strong> and Nathan S. Kline<\/strong> gave a lecture on “Drugs, Space and Cybernetics”. The two authors worked in a large psychiatric hospital north of New York. In their text they described various methods of adapting people to the conditions in space, from the constant supply of drugs to the connection to technical systems, for example as lung replacements. All of this was based on the ideas of cybernetics, which at the time was being widely discussed.[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″ css=”.vc_custom_1561290391124{border-right-width: -15px !important;}”][vc_single_image image=”38659″ img_size=”full”][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”38665″ img_size=”full”][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]Fantasies of mixed creatures of man and machine had already existed in the past, for example in the writings of Jean Paul<\/strong> and Edgar Allen Poe<\/strong>. A cyborg precursor was designed in 1929 by the Irish physicist John Desmond Bernal<\/strong>. The success of the 1960s concept and its incredible impact on literature and film is probably due to the advances in modern medicine and the catchy name, which was shortened further in 1989 (“Borg<\/strong>“, for example in Star Trek – Next Generation<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Some of the most important films and series in which cyborgs and artificial humans appear are, besides the Star Trek<\/strong> series, the “Blade Runner<\/strong>” films, “Robocop<\/strong>“, “Ghost in the Shell<\/strong>“, “Ex-Machina<\/strong>” or, quite recently, “Alita<\/strong>” from 2019. The topic has received a lot of impetus in film in recent years, certainly also because of the ever advancing improvement of AI and robot technologies, which causes discomfort for many people.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text][\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/4″ css=”.vc_custom_1572712540052{margin-top: 15px !important;margin-bottom: 15px !important;background-color: #efefef !important;}”]
