The spectacle “Rock ‘n’ Roll Ringo<\/strong>” tells the story of a scaffolder who loses his job and then makes ends meet as a temporary worker at the fair. Ringo Fleisch<\/strong> (33) is a scaffolder from Herne. When he gets drunk one day and climbs onto the scaffolding, he injures a colleague in an accident and loses his job. Frustrated, he takes a job as a fitter at a funfair in Crange. The colorful lights, the hustle and bustle of fairground life and the quirky characters hypnotize him and offer him a new home. He goes on tour with them. He leaves his deaf daughter Mia (12) behind with her mother. Ringo leaves Crange for the first time without knowing when he will return. Here Ringo meets the boxing stall boss Fr\u00e4nkie. He is immediately impressed by Ringo’s stature and persuades him to join his stall as a prizefighter. Ringo is skeptical, but allows himself to be persuaded. Fr\u00e4nkie becomes his mentor, enticing him with fast money, an adrenaline-filled life and star status at the funfair. Big Hainz, a pantomime, becomes his loyal companion. Through Jenny from the bumper cars, he gets to know the fast life of the funfair, even though he repeatedly clashes with her brother Mirko. Jenny and Ringo have a fierce friendship, a mixture of affection and mutual benefit. But Ringo is driven by a different goal: At the end of the funfair season, he wants to take his daughter Mia on a cabin cruise to the North Sea. In order to fulfill his daughter’s dream, Ringo gets more and more involved in the funfair life, and in the end he even takes part in a robbery. [\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”30px”][vc_column_text css=””]Dominik Galizia<\/strong>, born in Trier in 1988, developed a great passion for cinema as a child. He gained his first experience in the entertainment industry at the age of 18, when he went to Paris after leaving school to work as a stunt choreographer at Disneyland<\/strong>. In 2010, he moved to Berlin with the aim of becoming a director. He gained his first experience as a production intern on several music video shoots (including \u201cTaken by a Stranger<\/strong>\u201d by Lena<\/strong>, 2011), followed by jobs as a set manager and production assistant on music videos (including \u201cSaySaySay<\/strong>\u201d by Beatsteaks<\/strong>, 2013) and commercials.[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″ css=”.vc_custom_1561290391124{border-right-width: -15px !important;}”][vc_empty_space height=”10px”][vc_single_image image=”105775″ img_size=”full” css=””][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text css=””]Over the next few years, he made several music videos, including for Scooter (\u201cBig Room Blitz<\/strong>\u201d, 2014), and other short films. In 2015, Dominik Galizia<\/strong> began work on his feature film debut, which he financed completely independently via crowdfunding: \u201cFigaros W\u00f6lfe<\/strong>\u201d, a mixture of rape-and-revenge and love story, premiered at the Berlin Fantasy Filmfest <\/strong>in September 2017. Galizia cast Saralisa Volm<\/strong> and Franz Rogowski<\/strong> in the leading roles. He also continued to shoot commercials and music videos.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Dominik Galizia<\/strong> made his directorial debut in 2013 with the short film \u201cSoulmate<\/strong>\u201d about two \u201csoulmate\u201d couples whose paths cross in New York. In 2019, Dominik Galizia<\/strong> began work on \u201cHeiko’s World<\/strong>\u201d, a feature film about the Berlin cult figure from the YouTube series<\/strong> of the same name. Franz Rogowski <\/strong>was once again cast <\/strong>in a supporting role.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text css=””]The premiere took place in summer 2022 at the Munich Film Festival<\/strong>, where Heiko’s actor Martin Rohde<\/strong> was awarded the New German Cinema Award<\/strong><\/em> for \u201cBest Leading Actor<\/strong>\u201d<\/em>. At the achtung berlin 2021<\/strong> festival, \u201cHeiko’s World<\/strong>\u201d won the new berlin film award<\/strong> as the film with the largest audience.
