Paul Kellermann (Jo Herbst)<\/strong> wird 1943 zum Milit\u00e4r eingezogen. Sein wegen seiner Augenverletzung wehruntauglicher und deshalb frustrierter Kompaniechef Hauptmann Eisenhecker (Ernst Schr\u00f6der<\/strong>) schikaniert Paul weil ihm sein \u201cunmilit\u00e4risches\u201d<\/em> Auftreten missf\u00e4llt. W\u00e4hrend eines Urlaubs gelangt Paul an eine Blankourkunde zur Verleihung des Eisernen Kreuzes zweiter Klasse. Als er am n\u00e4chsten Tag verschl\u00e4ft und deswegen zu sp\u00e4t zum Dienst erscheint, f\u00fcllt er das Dokument mit seinem Namen aus und erfindet die Rettung 14 durch einen Bombenanschlag Versch\u00fctteter. Sein Hauptmann ist zun\u00e4chst begeistert, stellt Kellermann zur Bef\u00f6rderung seinem General vor und schweigt dann als ihm der Schwindel auff\u00e4llt, schliesslich k\u00f6nnte dies auch auf ihn zur\u00fcckfallen. In den Wirren der letzten Kriegswochen kreuzen sich die Wege der beiden wieder und Eisenhecker gibt den sinnlosen Befehl bis zum letzten Mann zu k\u00e4mpfen, Kellermann widersetzt sich, woraufhin Eisenhecker ein Standgericht einberuft um Paul wegen \u201cFeigheit vor dem Feinde\u201d<\/em> zu verurteilen \u2026<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
