[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]„Noom Records ist in den 1990er Jahren eines der erfolgreichsten und einflussreichsten Techno-, Trance-, und Acid-Labels gewesen.“ \u00a0<\/em>So ist es bei Wikipedia<\/a> nachzulesen. Wahrscheinlich ist diese Beschreibung auch nicht \u00fcbertrieben, stand Noom Records<\/strong> doch gleich f\u00fcr mehrere Trends wie z.B. „Hardtrance“, „Acid-Trance“, „Acid“ und „Techno“. In England sowie etwas zeitversetzt in den USA l\u00f6ste Noom Records zudem den „Hoover-Sound Hype“ aus, der wiederum Labels wie Prolekult Records (UK) oder Bonzai Records (Belgien) beeinflu\u00dfte. Der gr\u00f6\u00dfte Hit auf dem Label ist bis heute der Titel „Commander Tom – Are Am Eye?“, der weltweit Chartserfolge zu verzeichnen hatte und alleine weit \u00fcber 200.000 Vinyl-Maxi-Singles verkaufte. Aber auch Titel von Artists wie Mandala, Nexus 6, Cores, Traumatic, Jim Clarke und Nuclear Hyde fehlten weltweit in keiner Schallplattenkiste.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=“3\/4″][vc_column_text]R\u00fcckblickend kann man sicherlich sagen, dass eines der Erfolgsgeheimnisse des Labels zu Beginn war, dass der „Noom-Sound“, wie man ihn damals nannte, sowohl in „Trend-Clubs“ wie das „Omen“ von Sven V\u00e4th in Frankfurt oder in anderen angesagtesten Clubs in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Mailand und New York rauf und runter lief, gleichzeitig aber auch an Orten wie das „Dorian Gray“ im Frankfurter Flughafen oder den zu der Zeit entstehenden Gro\u00dfraumdiskotheken allgegenw\u00e4rtig war.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Gegr\u00fcndet wurde das Label 1993<\/strong> in Neckargem\u00fcnd bei Heidelberg von Joachim Keil. Ab der Noom 5 („Mandala – The Encore“) stie\u00df als A&R Tom Weyer (besser bekannt unter seinem DJ-Namen Commander Tom<\/strong>) hinzu, der dem Label ma\u00dfgeblich seine Richtung gab. Den „Noom-Sound“, ein analoger Sound, der urspr\u00fcnglich gepr\u00e4gt war von Studioger\u00e4ten von der Firma Roland (TB-303, SH-101 etc,) in Kombination mit bestimmten Effekten und eigenwilligen Abmischungen, \u00a0pr\u00e4gte zudem zum Start der Produzent Raymund Beyer (meist als Ray Boy\u00e9<\/strong> auf den Labelcopies zu finden), der zu dieser Zeit sowohl auf R&S Records wie auch auf Sony Dance Pool ver\u00f6ffentlichte.
